When is the 2025 FOF Summit?
The 2025 Future of Florida Summit will take place February 28th – March 2nd at the University of Florida.
Who can apply to FOF?
The FOF Summit seeks to foster an enriching environment with a wide range of perspectives, backgrounds, and individuals. Students from all Florida universities and colleges are encouraged to apply. Lodging is provided for non-Alachua County residents.
What is the purpose of FOF?
As the largest student-run policy summit in Florida, FOF invites participants from all majors and years from across Florida to gain leadership experience and network with state leaders.
Is the FOF Summit free to attend?
The FOF Summit is free to attend, however, all participants are responsible for transportation to all venues. Meals are provided during the weekend of the FOF Summit. Lodging is provided for non-Alachua County residents. If you have any questions or concerns about accommodations, reach out to us at FOF-GrahamCenter@ufl.edu.
What happens during FOF?
Participants will attend a virtual policy workshop relating to the yearly FOF topic the weekend before the FOF Summit. During the FOF Summit, students will discuss and participate in meaningful conversation with fellow participants and field experts during breakout sessions, keynote speakers, and collaborative groups. Participants will then work in teams to develop and present an innovative policy solution.
What topics are discussed during FOF?
Topics change annually and cover a range of critical topics addressed by the Florida Legislature. The 2025 FOF Summit will focus on the Gulf of Mexico in four critical areas: the environment, public health, economic development and immigration.
What is the application timeline?

Applications are now open and close January 19, 2025. Applicants will be notified of their participant status by late January. Apply now. 

What speakers or discussions will be held during FOF?

The 2025 FOF Summit will focus on the Gulf of Mexico in four critical areas: the environment, public health, economic development and immigration. Speakers will be released closer to the date of the FOF Summit.

 

Who hosts the FOF Summit?

The FOF Summit is hosted by the Bob Graham Center for Public Service at the University of Florida. The Center was established in 2006 by former U.S. Senator and Florida Governor Bob Graham to create a community of students, scholars, and citizens who share a commitment to revitalizing the civic culture of Florida and nation.
