The 2026 Future of Florida Summit took place January 30 – February 1st at the University of Florida. The 2027 Summit dates will be announced soon.

The FOF Summit seeks to foster an enriching environment with a wide range of perspectives, backgrounds, and individuals. Students from all Florida universities and colleges are encouraged to apply. Lodging is provided for non-Alachua County residents.

As the largest student-run policy summit in Florida, FOF invites participants from all majors and years from across Florida to gain leadership experience and network with state leaders.

The FOF Summit is free to attend, however, all participants are responsible for transportation to all venues. Meals are provided during the weekend of the FOF Summit. Lodging is provided for non-Alachua County residents. If you have any questions or concerns about accommodations, reach out to us at FOF-GrahamCenter@ufl.edu.

Participants will attend a virtual policy workshop on the annual summit topic the weekend before the Summit. During the summit, students will engage in breakout sessions, listen to expert speakers, and collaborate with peers and field experts in meaningful discussions. They will then form teams to develop and present innovative policy solutions.

Topics change annually and cover a range of critical topics addressed by the Florida Legislature. The 2026 FOF Summit focused on Florida’s urban development in four critical areas: environment, public health, economic development and culture.

The 2027 FOF Participant application timeline will be announced soon.

The FOF Summit is hosted by the Bob Graham Center for Public Service at the University of Florida. The Center was established in 2006 by former U.S. Senator and Florida Governor Bob Graham to create a community of students, scholars, and citizens who share a commitment to revitalizing the civic culture of Florida and the nation.
